Westzeit (DE)

STØVFIGUR appears to be a Danish project; their album “s/t” (12k) is stylishly released only on cassette. A comforting warmth emanates from the crackling joints, allowing deep, rumbling bass frequencies to well up from the fissures in the roughly textured electronic plaster. Much of it is also rhythmic—in the sense of loops, not beats. However, not every idea carries through to the full length of the rather sprawling tracks, which often sound like the basic tracks of an early múm record.
