After the silence of five years following Pitch, Paper & Foil (2015), Christopher Bissonnette has embarked on a new chapter in his research. Wayfinding confirms its direction, after The Wine Dark Sea published at the beginning of the year: the introduction of acoustic elements and field recordings on top of the synthetics. The ambience of the Canadian artist has opened horizons of enchanted contemplation. Short harmonic tiles and extended drones unfold placidly along the course of eight tracks constructed in an impressionistic manner and not by chance associated with a photographic sequence of “domestic landscapes”, of which they reflect the precious equilibrium.
