Tokyo based sound artist Sawako, ITP Alumni 2006, releases “Stella Epoca” her first solo album since 2014 from NY based Taylor Deupree’s ambient electronic music label, 12k.

Based on the inspirations from sky maps and planetary frequencies, sawako draws the fragile and amorphous sounding cocoon like a watercolor paint sublimating and fading.

The guitar sound by AOKI, Hayato at the dawn of the winter solstice, the field recordings at the moment of a total solar eclipse in Argentina by Federico Durand, and other star related moments were captured as the ephemeral sound memories of daily life.

From the deep layers of drone to post classical quietness and tender folk song, the 14 tracks will bring you to the dream voyage.
