Review of Phase Contrast From Recollection [12k3033]

Groove (DE)

One can certainly assume that 12K label operator Taylor Deupree has a decent J-Ambient affinity. Currently there is even a Japanese who is allowed to fully exploit this not-so-secret preference: in a classic way, in the loose combination of friendly tinkling, crackling-knocking, minimal sound fragments, it is the Tokyo producer Akhira Sano, who on Phase Contrast From Recollection (12K, June 9th) confirmed and exceeded all assumptions and clichés of Zen-like Japanese minimalism in an ultimately positive way. Less is much more than more.
