Gonzo (BE)
Lovers of dreamy and fragile ambient have had to wait eight years for a new album by the Japanese Sawako. Her last solo album was ‘Nu.It’, released in 2014, with which she also scored a spot on the Mind The Gap. Only logical really: Sawako knows better than anyone how to capture ethereal, hazy sounds in hypnotic soundscapes. The ‘Sweet Hygiea Grass’, built almost entirely from her voice, is enchanting and alienating.
