The Swiss sound and installation artist Zimoun, who has earned an international reputation in recent years with diverse environments full of different haptic and acoustic materials, remains true to his current interest in the electric guitar and publishes “Guitar Studies I-III ” (Room40 2022) a follow-up long player. The six, partly expansive, atmospheric tracks on “Modular Guitar Fields I-VI” combine the sounds of a baritone guitar with modular synths and the use of an amplifier to create dense, partially psychedelic sound worlds, which the label describes as sound sculptures. The album will be released on September 22nd on LP and digitally at 12k.
