Hailing from Buenos Aires, Federico Durand draws inspiration for this project—released on Taylor Deupree’s New York-based 12k label—from a series of small stamps dedicated to Cinderella. *La Manzana Mágica* is a work of subtle drones, field recordings, manipulated tapes, and gentle acoustic touches. It is an open, weightless composition—electroacoustics for small, fragile echo chambers—suspended between memory and dream, with the dark chaos of our times brilliantly kept at bay. It evokes that moment when, eyes closed, you look up at the sun and—for a single, fleeting instant—become a chick drenched in warm rain, marveling at every second and discovery life has to offer. Delightful.
