Reaching back into the earliest recesses of the 12K catalogue, this release brought together tracks by Arc (Savvas Ysatis and Taylor Deupree) and Tiny Objects In Space (Taylor Deupree solo). Rather than the kind of glitch driven nano-drones and granular synthesis excursions we’ve come to know and love the label for, these tracks reach into more techno-oriented productions. The precision and roving, experimental mindset is still very much ingrained in this music, yet there’s a certain functionality here too, bridging a gap between Sahko-esque stark minimalism (as on ‘Earth Neutral Live’) and Artificial Intelligence-era Warp. A great museum piece for all us 12k followers…
