my alesis wedge with 137 seconds reverb time was cheaper... and it is nearly as ugly

Wow, that looks/sounds great.  That effects loop really opens a lot of possibilities.  I don't know if I need it though since I have a freeze and cathedral.  :-\

What piqued my interest in this device is the mention of granular synthesis in the demo vids. If it could do that stuttering, almost random sounding granular sonic deconstruction that I've heard from software (eg. Pure Data) then I would give the Super Ego a closer look.
