Starting with my favourite one..

Went to a concert of A Winged Victory for the Sullen yesterday and it was mindblowing. Thanks to Adam!

So far Mimosa | Moize @ Oboro really takes the cake for me this year.

But there's upcoming stuff that promises a plenty, I'll be covering both Suoni per il popolo and MUTEK festivals. Can't wait.

I saw a winged victory for the sullen in 2011 (at least i think its that long...), and yeah. awesome. the only negative point is that i met the cellist at the toilet, short before they started playing. how can you go pee and then touch a cello without washing your hands? i mean... urine? thats poison for wood and strings!  :'(
doesn't affect the music or performance though ;-)

haven't been to too many mindblowing shows this year. but i remember einar stray to be very good.

hmm, live acts seen in 2012...that's a difficult question. The same as with me buying too much lp's and cd's I also do attend quite a bit of live shows.
I will just mention some highlights so far:

High Wolf
Je Suis Le Petit Chevalier
Morton Feldman - For Bunita Marcus (performed by the Ives Ensemble)
Tiny Ruins
Catherine Christer Hennix & Chora(s)san Time-Court Mirage
Grouper
Celer & Machinefabriek
Dead Neanderthals

And this evening I am going to see Daniel Higgs, Head of Wantastiquat and Sewn Leather.

Sounds nice Orphax.. It's said I'm gonna miss Gareth Dickson's show at my place on the 23rd of May.. I'm on the Faroe Islands. You can't get everything :)

Here in Amsterdam there is something going on about every evening, on average I go about 3 to 4 times a week.
And some nice things coming up this week again.
Thursday an evening with installations by Machinist, Alva Noto and more and live performances by BMB Con and Jacob Kirkegaard and more. And Friday we get some Ben Nash (among others) and Sunday Familly Underground.
So yes, again a good week.

This week will be a special week with my hosting a show for Tiago Sousa and Ti Femme in my living room coming Sunday.
Looking forward to it a lot.

And in a few weeks there will also be a show for Geoff Mullen, Concern and Matar Dolores in a small vegetarian/vegan restaurant that I helped setting up.

seen greg haines this week.
saw him previously two years ago, with a mostly cello + laptop setup. this week it was piano + laptop. he played rather shallow piano pieces for some time, broken by electronic sounds and effects. but the last song blowed us away: a synth heavy dance hymn, enriched by piano chords. supercool!

Going to see SND in London next Sunday, never seen them before live and been wanting to since 2000, guess i've just not been trying hard enough.

So far Mimosa | Moize @ Oboro really takes the cake for me this year.

And thank you very much indeed, we have to share another beer next time we are your way, or indeed you are ours.

Fela - The Musical

Saw it on the last day after months of showing in Detroit.
It was mind blowing awesome!!!!

Then a few weeks ago I went to see Baroness open for some other band. Always a good live gig!
