I've been using Beyer Dynamic DT-770 for a couple of years and I can't speak more highly of them.  The price is really the only downside.

Still, one can not put a price on prestige - and think of the prestige you buy with a pair of DT-770s!  ;)

You should move to Detroit, rent is cheap and so are houses. There's prestige for living in the hood. Especially when your headphones cost more than your mortgage payment.

Or just move to Philly like everyone else from Brooklyn eventually does...  ::)

It's always sunny there.

My time to change my headphone set.
My old Koss Mv1 is dead and the "life time garanti" don't work so well in europe...
So time to change for me...
I've 2 budget choice... Akg 240 or Beyer 770.
One semi-open and one closed.
One 15Hz-25kHz the other 5 - 35.000 kHz
Any advice?

I love my Sennheiser HD650, very flat and you can't get tired with them.

I  have the very popular AKG 240MkII. I bought them because everyone suggested them and I couldn't be more happy. Sound, shape, price, everything's good. I use them to make and listen to music. Maybe a little too much bass, but not much - just a little. Doesn't disturb me.
