semi-false alarm. seems to be the card, the mpc could format it but not write or read... however, i wonder why the card was f***ed up, it was only one year old and exclusively used in the 2880...

glad you solved it. found some format issues on the ehx forum:

nb: after playing with mine last weekend, I find the 2880 a great sounding device, but I don´t catch that "feedback-fader" function when overdubbing on a single track (I´d like to keep sounding the original loop on the top...not erasing it on each  overdubbing cycle...the same thing happens on the hazarai...any tip?).

thanks!
pug

not sure I understand, If you keep the level slider all the way up on the track you record onto, the original signal should not get lost. I actually use the "slow drown out" thing a lot... I usually go down to 60% as then the loop evolves more as it changes if you play on top...

thanks a lot rené.
my fault: was overdubbing with the track slider at 50%. (I usually play with ultralow levels at home, but this pedal sounds louder than I expected)

that's my biggest complain as it does not overload nicely but you'll get horrible digital crackles when the levels get too hot or the track too overloaded...

ok, the 2gb Transcend MLC 133x does not work properly. glitches in the recording after a while.
I'm now waiting for a 1gb cnMemory and a 1gb Platinum.

where are all the 1gb and 2gb sandisk ultras gone to? these worked like a charm!

if it goes for the same price, i might just switch to this since the foot controller has the newer smaller form factor that fits better on my pedal board.
plus i had issues with compact flash cards, and 32gb sdhc sounds not too bad at all!

on the other hand it does not offer seperat foot switches for reverse and octave (which i like a lot, but well..) instead it has 100 loop sets, accessible by foot switch. that's quite cool.

a little bit dissapointed with the update..was expecting some functions as the boomerang... but hey, great they´ve added loop banks. (no undo function yet ???)
surely I´ll sell my 2880 + foot controller...still happy with the dl4+jamman combo here

yea, ehx really dropped the ball on this. instead of making a next gen looper they repackaged essentially the same thing.

they could have reduced the size, added undo, asynchronous loops, etc....

oh well!

The new 45k is nice, but is it just me or is this thing ugly as sin?   :\

"ugly as sin" is pretty much EHX's design strategy at this point.
