Good stuff. It's similar to a spirograph image, except that this is a Lissajous figure, which represents the ratio of the frequencies of the two turntable speeds. It's very similar to images produced by a harmonograph or an X-Y phase scope. Those of you familiar with the album 'id' by Cyclo might recognize the phase diagram on this page:
