MX: Those are really nice! What phone/app are you using now?

Thank you ! I'm using an Iphone4 + Instagram + Photoshop Express for Iphone. (All free apps)
But I guess there might be some better app around here...

great pics, sublamp... i visit the US southwest every year or two and find myself searching out the same types of photos. i love these decayed, empty places... like lost dreams.

You need to get to Detroit if that's your thang.

I went to the Marchand & Meffre "The Ruins of Detroit" exhibition a month ago in Paris, great work. (The big-sized pictures are very impressive, which is obviously not the case of their web versions).

Ryan, lovely pictures.
You don't find these kind of sights in The Netherlands at all.
If it is already there it is usually gone within a few days as things are totally over regulated here (and overcrowded).

I made pictures of my balcony garden again and I thought this looked really nice (I really like close-ups from flowers and insects)

Thanks Orphax!
I don't think a lack of decaying buildings and signs in The Netherlands is necessarily a bad thing. Even though they are fascinating to explore and photograph, they represent of a community and economy in decline. Like Detroit, as Koda mentioned, where the population shrunk by 25% in only 10 years.
Those photos from The Ruins of Detroit that MX posted are amazing, but depressing!

Ohh yeah totally agree with you on that. It is a sign of bad times.
But it is the same here with old buildings, ruins and stuff. We just don't have them that much as somehow someone decided to either break it down complete or rebuild it so it looks all fancy and stuff and people want to go visit it.

The Netherlands is one big park where everything inch/cm is structured and (re)organized.

Those are really nice Land Titles! I like the textures in the first one.
The best way to post photos is to upload them somewhere like Flickr, and then use the Insert Image button and paste the URL between the img tags. Hope that makes sense!

canon s90 snaps from two recent trips to Harriman State Park.  June 19 day trip.  July 2-4 backpacking through to Bear Mountain.  our path on the 2nd followed a good amount of the ridgeline traversed on the 19th.  the 3rd was rain all day.  given our higher altitude we spent most of the day with low visibility due to fog.

a couple highlights, an edited set is here:

A while ago, Powershovel Audio sent me a super small digital camera with a great macro lens, to make photos for a cd booklet...
