A new beta is out now which seems to be good.
When I have tested a bit of it I will give some updates ;)

The implementation of time signatures is fantastic. Opens mulch up to a whole new way of doing things.

The new dynamics modules are really good, way better than I expected (I assumed they were going to be generic, vanilla things). Makes me look forward to the next wave of new contraptions that Ross mentioned in the roadmap.

very exciting. hope to get involved in testing as well. just sent a request.
my dream is multichannel output from drum contraption. is not in foreseeable plans as far as I know... keyboard control would also open a new universe.

just open up multiple drum contraptions :p

you mean like 8 or 21 of them as I sometimes need? on a 14'' screen? even with 1400x900 it seriously clutters the screen and I rather need them on...clicking my way through multiple contraptions on a small screen is a hell

i'm well aware of that  ;D
AM pushes you sometime towards these bizarre ideas, doesn't it?
have to say i haven't been using it as a drum machine lately, more like a layering tool.

what could probably make sense if you could assign contraptions to keys on the keyboard and create keyboard shortcuts. then pressing "1" would pop up and down a drum contraption or eq or whatever you assign. I see it for getting with clutter by complex patches and having key contraptions at hand without having to click or moving them around.

Indeed mulch makes you do strange things sometimes.

I am now working on a piece where I use only TestGen's and 3 frequency shifters (so far).
At this moment it has got 38 testgen's, and I am far from where I want it to be...(will work it up until CPU says "stop")

i can see that. 38 is heavily abusive. But that's what AM is for.
I'm glad I got myself a slick hp business laptop. nice and light 14'' yet a powerful mechanical excellence. it never complains, no matter how complex and overloaded the patch gets.

The setup I have this mulch running in is at my netbook...haven't tested on my normal pc or normal laptop yet (where the laptop is the most powerful of them all).

this is actually interesting. being rather limited and able to use only a few contraptions yet come up with a nice set up. I try that sometimes on purpose and like the effects a lot. that's the great thing about AM, you can do magic with two simple contraptions. and go really deep. adding a third one can easily open dozens new dimensions that are very unpredictable yet easy controllable in the process. it's sure a nice piece of software.
I'm planing to feed signal between two computers with AM. afraid only I'll open a black hole. :)

Did you ever tried sel-synthesis in mulch?
That's also a really nice thing to check out. You can do very nice things with that.
Might be that one of my examples is about them, not sure though.

oh yes. took me some time to control feedback and figure out when it comes up, but apart form that a neat idea. let me go over my projects. might have something nice there. remember yours was interesting.
