Machinefabriek audio postcard

Machinefabriek - Greetings from Seeljocht

From June 21 to 25 I participated in a residency project called `Seeljocht`. The Into the Great Wide Open
festival invited Piiptsjilling to stay on Vlieland for a week, and record music inspired by this beautiful island.
Greg Haines and the video artists of 33 1/3 were invited too, as well as Heather Broderick and Nils Frahm,
who recorded  their contribution while on holiday in the United States.

I`ve made several field recordings on the island, which I used in the Piiptsjilling tracks. These recordings
were also used to create a short piece for Headphone Commute`s `audio postcard` series.

Listen to it here:

Enjoy! Rutger

Captivating sounds. As always Rutger - pure quality, every time.

What do you use for field recordings?

Thanks Charlie. I used a portable Marantz PMD661 recorder, but with just the build-in microphones, so nothing fancy really...
