Q&A with Phill Brown (later Talk Talk engineer)
« on: May 03, 2011, 07:54:52 pm »
there's a Q&A going on with Phill Brown over on Gearslutz. he was the engineer behind the seminal Talk Talk records... "spirit of eden" and "laughing stock"... it just got started, but if there's anyone to listen to when it comes to engineering and recording, this is the guy...

read a bunch of excerpts in tape-op  :)before the book was published, always an entertaining read and a cool insight into 70's and 80's studio life(lots of money floating around back then)

I am waiting for my copies of those to arrive at my local record store.
Got the Mark Hollis one on 2nd hand cd and been looking for a cheap vinyl copy of laughing stock for years but never found one in the local 2nd hand stores (and the bootleg from last year, or year before sounds crap).
