i found it cumbersome/confusing enough that i haven't really used it yet... i thought i transferred my own sample to it but never found it inside the blofeld. tried a few times, various things, etc... never had luck.

got busy, sidetracked, and haven't tried again in a couple of months.

do need to get it sorted out though!

How did the SL license work out for those of you who upgraded?

a guy from waldorf posted this link on the facebook group.  new preset banks, maybe someone here might find them useful.

well well.... imagine this...... after many many months... i got my Blofeld SL option working!

i just decided to re-load the SL activation and then re-load the preset sample files from waldorf... and it works! i now have 60 megabytes of lame pianos and clav sounds!

the Blofeld now may take on an even bigger role for me live.. loading in long textures and sounds from albums.. could be pretty cool...

excited that this works now! satiates my lust for the Nord Wave by a day or two...

glad you finally got it working, taylor!  i still haven't upgraded to the SL option, and was a bit put off from buying it after hearing you having so many problems.  so happy to hear it's ok after all.

btw, i saw some pics of your recent live set-up and noticed the blofeld.  how did that go?

the blofeld was great live. i just hooked up a keyboard controller to it and played tones live. it provided a much nicer soundbed than the synths i had going in the OP-1. both together we're nice. the blofeld will be a mainstay in my live rig probably now.

every time i turn that little guy on i'm impressed at the sounds i make with it. i only wish there was one with a knob-ridden interface. give me the blofeld with a Nord interface please....

thanks for the info, taylor!  i'm sure the portability of the blofeld desktop helps in the live situtaion too.

and let us know how the SL option works out now that you've got it up and running.  i'd be interested in knowing if it's worth the upgrade.   :)
