Machinefabriek and Stephen Vitiello live CD
« on: April 09, 2011, 12:34:18 pm »
Birds in a Box is a set of live recordings of the Box Music concept. Rutger and I played live in Winnipeg and then in Montreal. There's also a remix by Ezekiel Honig. The packaging is beautifully done by Rutger and only an edition of 200 copies:

When was the Montreal show (that I missed) so I can beat myself up about it?

It was October 2008 I believe. We played at Send + Receive and then traveled to Montreal to play at Case del Popolo. We had such a nice time. Especially in Winnipeg, the audience was laughing -- something that never happens in performances I've been part of! Sorry not to see you there

Here's to hoping there will be other opportunities! for laughter as well.

I haven't had time to listen to it yet, is there only the CD hand numbered copies or can it be bought digitally as well?

I hadn't heard that there would be digital (or not). I haven't had direct contact with the label... all on my collaborator's side

I'll wait for him to post, but it seems there isn't a digital copy / distribution.

If not I'll still buy the thing, the concept sounds like a lot of fun, surprise things to make sounds with.

I had a hard time not bursting into laughter myself ;-)
Indeed, it was great fun.

I'm expecting the artist copies this week, and that package will also include the ones that Stephen and I need to sign (and then send back)...
