looking for a small tone generator
« on: June 27, 2010, 05:52:12 am »
Maybe someone can help me with this...

I'm looking for a small tone generator. So hardware, not software.
I have a tone generator at home, but it's very big. Not very handy for touring.
I'm looking for something small, with the possibility to slide the tone for pitch-shifting (so not in steps).
Obviously, a line-out would be apreciated too....
Does anyone know if there's something like this on the market?
bests, rutger

i was going to suggest a Doepfer mini case

http://www.analoguehaven.com/doepfer/minicase/

filled with a couple of their oscillators... which, in the long run, would start you off on a modular adventure. the case is $120

the oscillators are $200

http://www.analoguehaven.com/doepfer/a110/

so a bit more than what you've just shelled out.. but a lot of flexibility going forward..

something to consider in the future anyway!

Thanks Taylor.
The Doepfer mini case looks amazing. I'm gonna check that out too...

Rutger

Did you ever use the cv input with the Rolls oscillators or anyone else for that matter?

Thanks!
