Maschine?

Just curious if anyone out there has been using Native Instrument's Maschine for production and/or performance? It looks like a great piece of kit...but there's not a heck of a lot of info out there for artists who are working with more abstract sounds!  ;)

revisiting this old post...

as an old fan of the MPC3000... maschine does look tempting and probably quite useful because it's tied to the computer and has access to longer sounds and more effects...

though, personally, i've lost touch with anything Native Instruments because they seem to just be turning into a sample library company...

but, in my opinion, anything that can record your own sounds, loop them and play them back is useful! just depends on your workflow.

+1

counting the days until the inevitable announcement that they will no longer support Reaktor (the software that put them on the map).

I had a couple of nice moments with the maschine, but doing more than just a couple of loops was really tedious and i ended up switching back to the computer screen more often than i'd thought in the first place

@billy: let's hope the end of Reaktor is still far away.
