There's a nice recording of a performance and soundcheck that Steve and I did at the Chinati Foundation in Marfa, TX 2007. Link is:

thanks Billy! Really hope you enjoy it. It was an amazing experience for us. Always hard to know how much it translates through live recording but imagine the desert around you, buzzing insects and a snake going by...

I guess the mix was sent outside to the audience via external PA or something?

Thanks Jimmy! The space has about a 6-second reverb and it's different in every part of the building. Sound bounces off the sculptures, the glass walls and fades in all sorts of weird fun ways. Steve and I were each sending stereo outputs direct and then there were about 14 microphones all throughout the building picking up our sound played back into the space. Bob Bielecki, our brilliant sound engineer was outside, with the audience, mixing between those channels. So, the audience was hearing all sorts of changes in the spatialization as Bob made various decisions. For the stereo mix (on Ubu) I had 18 individual channels to play with  - emphasizing the ambient mics in particular when  Steve is singing or hitting a bell as he's wandering through the building and only picked up by the ambient mics. ...
