Just finished Battle Star Galatica (the newer version) and holy fracing cow! That is some highly thought out and deep sci-fi.
My wife even loved it.

Can't recommend this enough!!!!

how did you like the ending?  it really divided opinion, but i thought it was good.

I was hoping it would be darker...however,  I was satisfied with it.
There's still some ambiguity for me but that just means I dwell on the closure a bit longer. Which I like. Usually, that's a good sign.
Clearly, a divine hand set things in motion. Pretty clever for being sci-fi.

yeah, it was the "devine" part and religious overtones that really put a lot of people off the ending.  i actually liked it but the whole "angels" thing still doesn't sit well with me.  still, absolutely killer series.

speaking of series with controversial endings:
i just finished the sopranos.
what to say? thumbs up!

i think i'm done with drama series now for a while. i watched six feet under before watching the sopranos, and started breaking bad recently, but after now i'm lusting for something more trivial ;)

thanks to blue ray dvds are fairly cheap...

Slowly going through the whole series of Miami Vice…long way to go, just got past the episode with a very young Bruce Willis.
The sound is pretty amazing I must say, well worth a revisit, if only to watch the pilot.

one of the best finale's of a tv show ever!  it haunted me for ages afterwards.

a live performance of gusgus

two modular synths with effects/samplers + vocals.  rather party music yet quite a set with acidy analogue hardware sounds and delayed, looped, processed vocals. mashes really cool together i think. and quite impressive performance wise. interaction and natural stageabilty. they have so much fun with their music and rearrange compositions on the fly, making minute minute lp tracks into almost ten-minute, fluctuating pieces. like it.

i have been at that show: awesome. gus gus proved to be a really good liveact, with really good sound and strong vocalists.
i recall that it was around 1PM, raining a lot, only 10°C and very windy. we took the 15 minutes walk from our hotel to downtown reykjavik, and were mainly looking for a warm place, not expecting to be able to see gus gus at all. indeed it was really packed, but somehow we managed to sneak in. despite being wet, and tired, and frozen, gus gus managed to bring us in the right mood for the festival to follow, on a wednesday at 1PM. that's remarkable! :)

Did you ever watch this one:

I think I liked it better. More of Eno himself if I remember correctly
