No 24 bit recording option??
That's a bit odd.

I guess it's aimed at a certain market, I couldn't see myself getting much use out of it.
I mean you're surely gonna want to mix whatever you do in a DAW when you're done anyway.

I wonder how the magazine will feel about the name too.

I think this device is aimed at a low-budget, portable/home recording market, not a "field recording proper" market...this is the kind of thing that is replacing the Tascam Portastudios that taught me everything I knew before I was 18.
