I have not thought of this band in several years.  I was quite into them when MBV first blew my teenage mind and I started to seek out anything that sounded similar.  Thanks for the heads up, will definitely check this out.

glad there's some love out there.

fyi, the CRWTH cd will come with a coupon for a free download of the 17 track bonus release. otherwise, for those not buying the CD, both CRWTH and the bonus album will be available for purchase via iTunes, etc.

I used to be all into this back in the day as well.  still revisit some of their tracks on occasion.

did they disappear or did I just stop paying attention?

i don't think subsequent albums got much attention...I don't know if this was the label or whomever - Projekt became a much gothier label (if possible) after operations moved to NYC, so I doubt that LLC records got attention outside of that scene...but the other, newer releases are still pretty available...

Ah I knew I heard the name before but couldn't put my finger on it!
I think the UK weeklies probably just passed these off as another MBV clone back in the day, saying they missed the shoegaze boat.
Wished I had caught Bloweyelashwish at the time, would have been right up my street. Glad to be re-introduced to them now, they clearly had more going on then a lot of similar bands of the time. Deffo gonna check out their back catalogue.

So is CRWTH a re-working of Chorus? And I guess Chorus is the a cappella album?

Just noticed there is a cassette copy of Bloweyelashwish on Discogs for $2. I'd grab it if it wasn't for the $12 international shipping!
Might just pick up a CD copy instead.
