the green kingdom «egress» (nomad kids republic)

beautiful pacing and sounds.
flows nicely through the rainy friday...

the new green kingdom album is great, isn't it?

my simon scott package arrived today.  i'd been listening to my digital files a lot, but it was nice to pop the cd in and read the book while listening.  great sounds and design!

yeah, duane pitre is a recent discovery for me.  his side of the eleh split is beautiful, i'm going to order his "feel free" album from boomkat when the cd version comes in.

right now:

motion - pictures

^ bought this used from discogs, first time to buy anything from there.  think i might start buying more used stuff from there to fill holes in my collecton.

motion "pictures" is fabulous. years ago i was playing with richard chartier in the UK... we walked into a small bookstore that happened to have some CDs at the front counter... this Motion CD was there. i had no idea who it was or what it sounded like, but back then the sparse packaging was a sure sign it might be good. i bought it and loved it and then spent the next year or two trying to track down who Motion was.... which eventually lead to his 12k releases.

i've actually been thinking about re-releasing "pictures" on 12k to get a bit more exposure for it.

so that's how motion got released on 12k?  interesting!  yeah this "pictures" cd is very cool, a little surprised to hear some unprocessed guitars on it, compared to his other two albums.  yeah that cd packaging is nice, and to think it's from 12 years ago!

That would be amazing to release 'Pictures' on 12k, I had my eye on this years ago on ebay as obviously impossibly hard to find, (although not looked for years actually), and just typically forgot all about it and missed out. Really would love to get this, I think I have everything else pretty much he has done.

Good find Darren :)

Incidentally, I noticed Jodi Cave pictured in the audience up on Flickr at your London debut w/Richard…almost 7 years ago, time for a revisit to the UK me thinks :)
