Been on a blues streak as of late, made a couple of CDs for the car and they've been a steady routine. Howlin' Wolf, Muddy Waters, Bessie Smith, Robert Johnson, Freddie King, Koko Taylor, Champion Jack Deupree, Elmore James, etc.

I forgot how much I love that music.
I love that music.

I have been revisiting some older releases of late, more recently its been Clicks & Cuts Vol 2.

A worthy listen if you haven't heard it for a while, time does great things for perspective.

When I was young I was pretty much into Hardcore Punk and such, just a few things did stick around...
So now I am playing about the whole early discography of Lärm. Almost one hour of old school pre-grindcore noise about politics and being straight edge.

 ;D

That was my scene, too - late 80's to mid 90's hardcore punk. LOVE IT! It's what I cut my teeth on.
I used to play guitar in a Detroit band called, Empathy. We put out a few full lengths and few 7 inch records between '93-'96.

Currently listening to: 7 Seconds - Soulforce Revolution. It's not the 'The Crew' but it's still great.

Cool – I'm sure I have an Empathy record somewhere at home. I was a little later to the game – late 90s. I played in more Screamo / Emo-Violence (for the lack of better terms) kind of bands: Tristan Tzara & Kobra Khan

@Orphax – Lärm ist pretty amazing

nope, don't think they're still doing stuff.
a shame really...

squarepusher: didn't convice me, seems like there's to much technical stuff around the music which seems to be more important.
for me it lacks something even if i can't really put the finger on it...

shackleton: the first shackleton release i really enjoyed. i like the combination of quite unusal the sounds together with beats.
it's also by far less beat driven then i'd have expected it to be.

mohn: really like that one. i found it to be surprisingly dark, but great atmospheres and nice and slow.
but steady...

sebastien roux «pillow» (apestaartje) - perfect balance of texture and simplicity, yeah great one that.

Well, as many of you might have already, I got the new Frank Bretschneider - Kippschwingungen. Line

I gotta say, this is a really great album, and the first since 'Looping I - VI (And Other Assorted Love Songs)' that really worked well for me, I particularly love the first two thirds, really great stuff.

Obsessed with the latest Mount Eerie release. Haunting songwriting, haunted production.
