When I was young I was pretty much into Hardcore Punk and such, just a few things did stick around...
So now I am playing about the whole early discography of Lärm. Almost one hour of old school pre-grindcore noise about politics and being straight edge.

 ;D

same here, i grabbed the lossless digitals of motion's "dust", taylor's "occur" and a couple of sogar releases.

besides those, these have been played a lot recently:

atom - winterreise

helena gough - knot variants

philippe petit & friends - cordophony

Koda

That was my scene, too - late 80's to mid 90's hardcore punk. LOVE IT! It's what I cut my teeth on.
I used to play guitar in a Detroit band called, Empathy. We put out a few full lengths and few 7 inch records between '93-'96.

Currently listening to: 7 Seconds - Soulforce Revolution. It's not the 'The Crew' but it's still great.

7 Seconds did some great stuff, though I do not have any of their records.

Some of my favorite tunes by them are "Young Untill I Die" and "I Hate Sports". Has some really positive about it :-)

Tape Loop Orchestra - The Word On My Lips Is Your Name
Elintseeker - By The Sea
Being - The Folkestone Lighthouse
Ironomi - Sketch
Steve Roden - Proximities

They're all properly top-notch albums.

tape and bill wells - fugue

thing is, i've been listening to this record @ 33 1/3 instead of 45 (unknowingly) and it's been awesome

give it a spin

Hilary Hahn & Hauschka - Silfra

i don't like hilary hahn (but still, she _can_ play). but i adore hauschka. and this a beautiful record. it's a bit less on the experimental side than hauschka & hildur gudnadottir cooperation from last year.

i've read some good reviews of this, comparing it to the recent voices from the lake album.  hope to hear it soon.

today i've been enjoying the new line releases:

frank bretschneider - kippschwingungen

robert curgenven + richard chartier - built through

few things I've been really enjoying this past month...

Jan Jelinek - Jazz loop finding records - classic - never far from my turntable.
Cupp Cave - Retina Waves - really really nice release, sounds like a lot of things but nothing else at the same time
Pye Corner Audio - Black mill tapes - Pretty much exactly what I thought it'd sound like. not a bad thing at all.
Broadcast - black session (Paris 5/4/2000) - mind blowing live recording.
Sand Circles - motor city - nice lofi haziness. similar to andy stott but more... optimistic?
Erkin Koray - Erkin Koray 45's (1967 - 76) - awesome turkish psych rock
Didier Bocquet - Sequences - early 80's proggy synthness
Paco Sala - Ro me ro - nice digitalis ambi-pop(?) that for some reason, tonally reminds me of slow dive's souvlaki space station...

Gave the new beach house record a try - terrible snoozefest. not a single redeeming track. Such a shame. their first two records are exceptional
