just getting round to listening to loscil's coast/range/arc.

i've just ripped it on my work computer, can someone confirm that there is supposed to be a subtle "static" type sound going through the first track?

sounds very incongrous to my ears. might just be a cd defect. I'm not sure though.

it's present on a youtube rip that someone upped too. weird! just sounds wrong to me...

Really enjoyed this one too. It's a real breath of fresh air. You can hear the Stars Of The Lid influence in there but there's a lot more to it than just that. Currently listening to....

Chihei Hatakeyama - Mirror - Room40.

A lot more minimal than some of his other work but it's still a completely engrossing experience. There's some very interesting field recordings in there as well.

Tape Loop Orchestra - Maybe I Told A Small Lie - Tape Loop Orchestra.

I don't know how else to describe this one other than that it's absolutely stunning.
