absolutely same here!  that new rainforest ep is nice, but his (free) instrumental mixtape is where it's at.  heard it might get a proper cd release too.

i saw that it's on the type website, so it's for sure that there will be a proper cd release soon.
type records saves the day once again. :)

Still one of my favourite albums released in recent years...

The only sample track I heard from Fjordne's new album was such a departure from the norm, with Fender Rhodes and subdued cymbals, etc. which don't get me wrong I have absolutely no beef with, but it's probably gonna take me a while to get used to once I acquire the album. (Which I sure will) I just love his usual acoustic, very honest quiescence thing he has going. I'm used to it, can't get enough of it, etc. Waiting for the moment when I feel opened and receptive or something along those lines.

never really got convinced by "Silence". felt he mangles ideas from previous albums over and over.

his surround live shows are a blast though. really one of a kind. going to one the day after tomorrow. worth a 300km trip to Berlin. can't wait.

yeah, i'm a huge monolake fan, but was underwhelmed by silence.  thought it felt kinda thin.
i enjoyed that interview on youtube, thanks for the link, jorgos!

maybe it's only me, but i've the feel that the last monolake albums always have been a showcase for the latest additions to ableton live. silence sounds to me like it features of the new physical modelling stuff (which ableton licensed from AAS), before that it was the FM stuff (either on polygon cities or momentum)...
not that i'm disappointed by that. not at all.

It's funny, Silence is I think the only Monolake album that I like. At times, it does feel a bit like a technical demonstration, but on the whole I enjoy it.
