boards of canada - the campfire headphase

^wish these guys would get on with releasing a new lp sometime soon.
Did you hear about the blank square on their discography page, very mysterious indeed! :o They could at least give us the "Old Tunes" box set, right?

ha, yes!  that's what put me in the mood to listen to them.

Xela - Dead Sea - Very inventive and really captures the "folklore" of the sea, almost sounds like a ghostbox release.

How is that album? Have you heard the track 'Pompage' from his 'Air Frais' EP? So good - gave me a taste for techno again.

It's a great album IMO, but i love dehnert's brand of stripped-down, dubby techno. And yes, i agree about the air frais ep!
I've also been listening to the recent macel dettmann lp lots too. Have you heard it?

I hadn't heard his album until you mentioned it. Didn't realise. Thanks for the heads up. The clips that I could find sound absolutely quality. Also a big fan of the dub style of techno, both old and new. Ranges by Vainqueur. Redundant by Fluxion. Vampire Dub by Deadbeat. Is it time for a techno thread?

Buck65 has tweeted about it being Holger Czukay's birthday today, so I went on a roll with that stuff.

CAN - Ege Bamyasi & Tago Mago
then Holger solo: Canaxis & On The Way To The Peak Of Normal

not the full albums, skipped a thing or two there
still good though
