I would love it if I could listen to this whole thing all the way through w/out serious ear fatigue.

I couldn't listen to their last album, it was like having your head in a pachinko machine.
Never been much of a fan mind...

Digging out some old shoegaze this morning,

Ride - Nowhere (still great)
The Lilys - In The Presence Of Nothing (cool, if a bit MBV by numbers)
Swallow - Blow (hasn't aged too well)

Yeah, maybe I'm just getting old, but I tend to prefer their older stuff (LP5 and earlier). Draft was pretty good though. A mix of the crazier stuff and some nice understated melody/ambiance would be nice :)

Autechre - Envane
Shackelton - 3 EPs

it'd be cool if oversteps turned out to be a full-on hip hop album.  Apparently autechre have told warp they'd love to do that.

...if so, then the title would be quite fitting  :)
maybe it's also a over the top version of dubstep...

haha! :-D
as for autechre, sometimes it's good, sometimes it's bad, but to me it's always at least interesting when they release something.

listened to the new eels record today, but didn't seem to move me much despite the incredible reviews in belgian press...
