Everything free there is by Ametsub. Amazing stuff. Though, like always with experimental stuff, it's kind of heavy, so not too much at one go... some Janet Jackson between.

In general, summer finally came to Finland, so relaxing outdoors listening to all the summery semi-easy-going stuff, Jamiroquai, Herbie Hancock... lovely, lovely.

E: Ametsub video... great

I've had this and Map in Hand alternately as relaxing/reading music the past few evenings. I love that guitar sound and his phrasing

Right now:
Can - Tago Mago

any markus popp-oval fans here? ;)

http://www.thrilljockey.com/catalog/?id=104798

"The most important paradigm for the new sound was that everything should be done the exact opposite way from how it was done in the past. Popp exclusively used (cheap) commercially available software and plug-ins instead of programming his own. He utilized one (four years old at that) $500 stock PC instead of several high-end Macs. All the virtual instruments are played with his own hands. And last but certainly not least, scales, harmonics, and melody are the foundation of this music instead of theory and meta-discourse".

if you're interested in the production process you can listen to Markus lecture from SeeSound Festival, Vandvaerket, Roskilde 2002.

Suggest me something that doesn't contain important extremely high or low frequencies or strong panning. I like to listen to music outdoors, but currently I don't have speakers there so I just open the door and let the music come from house. There can't be a lot of volume because neighbours will dislike it, and that (I assume) makes the ears hear more middle frequencies. And panning will of course be ruined when the sound comes from a narrow gap. So what could be good to listen to until I get better setup?

E: You listen to so much stuff. How often do you listen in peace without doing anything else, how often while surfing or internet or working etc.? Just curious.
