Oren Ambarchi, In The Pendulum's Embrace
Alva Noto, Xerrox, Vol. 2

Picked up both on wax yesterday afternoon...so good. The Ambarchi album in particular is really beautifully mixed and mastered. The bass frequencies are so pure!

Yea, they really turned out nicely. Both are of a very solid weight, as well. I actually got to listen to Xerrox, Vol. 2 on my friend's pro-grade soundsystem last night while we were setting up for a party. Totally enveloping. Kind of ruined the record for me just a little bit...it's just never going to sound so heavy and full again!

Marsfield (Andrew Chalk/Brendan Walls Collab) - The Towering Sky (Faraway Press)

Disappointed with this, doesn't seem as focused as the usual solo Chalk releases
