the swiss: saving money
the yank: BUY EVERYTHING NOW
So well known...but I have to add to this...no clue when to listen to all those albums.
Do you also have this massive pile of unlistened records and cd's?
(for it is mainly cd's as the records I always listen to a lot, much more than cd's, that while I have more cd's)

Put this one today again after a very very very very very long time.
Kraftwerk - Autobahn
Makes me hump around my living room...

yeah it's interesting.  the album was made to be viewed through an oscilloscope, so the audio takes backseat to the visual representation.

(Blackest Rainbow, 2010)
Weird Japanese psychedelic folk. Don't really know what to say about it other than that I like it.
There is also a second one on Blackest Rainbow this year, but haven't played that so much yet.

Fantastic book (design as well as writings), including a very nice cd.
Especially listening while reading is super nice.

Favorite record these days :
Ohayo - The State We Are In
Just love how the guitars use the space.

Also playing :

Kangding Ray - OR (RasterNoton, 2011)
Giuseppe Ielasi - Aix (12K, 2009)
John Zorn - Masada Guitars : Frisell, Ribot, Sparks (Tzadik, 2003)
Alvin Curran - Lost Marbles (Tzadik, 2004)
Paul Bradley & Colin Potter - The Simple Plan (ICR, 2009)

Discovered this last one because I was asked to open for the gentlemen in July, incredible sound, really excited about their upcoming performance. Aix also been on heavy rotation these days.

What's the matter, Sam ?

Waking up with
Jim O'Rourke - Halfway to a Threeway (1999)
Camberwell Now - All's Well (1982-1987)

I am always amazed by the sound quality of some Camberwell Now tunes, knowing they were recorded in the mid 80's.

I splashed out on a bunch of albums recently:

Stephan Mathieu - A Static Place
Le Berger - Expeditions on the Grayscale (one tiny, two medium and a grand one)
Zavoloka - Vedana
Tobias Reber - Backup Aura
Markus Reuter - Todmorgen 513
Seth Horvitz - Studies for Automatic PianoTabula Rasa (special edition with book, including scores)

All good stuff.
