we'll let the UAD slide, ralph, as it *is* something that goes in your computer...

when you start asking about analog synths and outboard recording equipment... well, then we'll have the reevaluate the fate of the forum.. or at least mankind.

Anyone else super excited about this (sorry if it's been covered):

http://www.dogfish.com/brews-spirits/the-brews/occassional-rarities/bitches-brew.htm

I ordered a case.  Everything I have had from Dogfish head has been excellent.
If you haven't already tried them I'd recommend the Raison D'etre and Santo Palo.

wow, that one sounds good.

anyone know of any places online that you can order good beer? there are a few local places here that i buy it, but their selection, while good, is quite static... i've got my craft brew of the month club (bi-monthly) which keeps me going on stuff i've never heard of.. but when it comes to more accessible breweries (like dogfish) my local places stock it, but not all of it....

would be great to find a good online place for this stuff

Best beer retailer I have ever set foot in and they ship!

http://www.bruisin-ales.com/shipping.php

They have it all.  Also, if you've never been to Asheville it is a really beautiful, fun place and worth the trip.

Enjoying a pint of Black Sheep at the moment!

I often go to stay up in Masham, the Theakstons and the Black Sheep breweries are just over the road from each other...makes for a good night out.  ;D

Mmm, Theakston's XB used to be one of my favourites. Aren't those two breweries owned by two brothers (one each, I mean)?

One of my current favourites, especially in this warm sunny weather, is Harvest Pale from Nottingham's Castle Brewery. This beer just won Champion Beer of Britain this week: http://www.castlerockbrewery.co.uk/site/?p=2705

This is my first post on this thread - I've kept quiet about the fact that I used to work in Mansfield Brewery for 6 years, until its closure in 2001. I began working in the fermenting department, then in bottling, then assistant manager of kegging, and finally ended up in the labs (lots of tasting in that particular job!)

I think Black Sheep was set up by one of the older Theakston brothers, who was manager of Theakston's brewery at the time! Not too sure of the current situation though.

I must try Harvest Pale at some point, I love the Castle Rock pubs. I live just down from the Bread and Bitter, I think that pub was the one that really introduced me to Castle Rock. I usually tend to drink Preservation in there though!
