New SIGHUP album, Cue sheet, and other projects
« on: March 10, 2010, 12:30:49 pm »
I don't self-promote here often, but I figured it couldn't hurt. I've released a new album available through Bandcamp entitled Cue sheet. I don't really have the resources to warrant a physical run, so it's available as a download, in various audio formats including lossless. The whole album can be previewed and purchased (for $5 USD) here:

I've listened to a lot of records on 12k/Type/Miasmah/SMTG/Barge/etc in the past year, the album fits in with that general aesthetic I think.

While I'm at it, I have some other recent projects to mention. I have a free EP also available through Bandcamp entitled Held in Frame that I released earlier this year:

It's a set of performances using the Bugbrand Audioweevil. In part, it grew out of something that was asked on the old version of this board (I think by steinbruchel) in regard to using some of the little noise synths in subtle ways. So I set out to do some recordings using the Audioweevil (and the Trogotronic 666 on one track) subtly. They are drones, but not noisy/chaotic in the way these synths often are used on Youtube or in demo tracks.

I've also recently started an experiment in rapid publishing on Soundcloud. I've begun putting a small modular synth together, these are are all one-take performances made with it:

They can be listened to on Soundcloud, but not downloaded yet. Haven't decided what I want to do with theses tracks once I'm finished the project, so for now they are browser-based only.
