OFF-KEY SESSIONS: SOUND ARCHITECTS

We are very excited to announce the second in a series of gigs to be held in the 14th century church of St John The Baptist, Bristol on the 10th November from 6pm – 10pm…

For those that attended the first gig back in April will remember that we used the crypt for what was a very special night of live music. This time round we will be heading upstairs into the main church building. If you thought the crypt was an atmospheric venue then the main building will simply blow you away! Even better is the fact that it has central heating so no need to bring long johns and blankets. The venue even has an old organ still in perfect working condition that will be used on the night in-between performances.

Once again we have gone all out to bring you a fantastic line-up of artists including:

Simon Scott (UK)
Tape Loop Orchestra (UK)
Peter Jørgensen (Denmark)
Field Rotation (Germany)
Antonymes-Projector/Visuals (UK).

All tickets purchased for the event will include a limited edition letter pressed CD and digital download containing unreleased material from the artists playing on the night. Tea and cake will also be served throughout the evening free of charge including some tasty vegan cake taken from Jess’ secret recipe book! Various merchandise from the artists will also be available to buy on the night at a discounted rate.

SELF PROMOTION / Fluid Audio 004 Maps and Diagrams (Fee Release)
« on: March 13, 2010, 06:42:55 pm »
Maps and Diagrams - Cubiculo

Taking some time out from making music with Charles Sage as Hessien, Tim Martin brings his Maps and Diagrams project to the surface with four exclusive songs for Fluid Audio.

'Cubiculo' features a more structured, loop-based arrangement, drawing attention to a rounded and melodic stencil with focus on subtle, micro-crystalised rhythm, surrounded by a self-assurance and tangled textures with a salute towards the work of Oval and their deconstructed works of the 90's.

'Cubiculo' creates a less-harsh listening environment compared to 'The Giant Woods' album on Yuki Yaki released in December 2009 and this is another steadfast release carefully crafted, interwoven with unfolding elements that makes Maps and Diagrams' compositions so precisely enduring.

Available for free download from http://fluid-digital.co.uk/ in your choice of 320k mp3, FLAC, or just about any other format you could possibly desire.

Track List:

The Melancholy of the Weavers
Kopangyang
Gnomish Twang
Fragments of a Former Moon

All songs written and produced by Maps and Diagrams 2009/10.

Recorded at Roadmap Studios, Cambridgeshire.

SELF PROMOTION / Greg Haines - Until the Point of Hushed Support
« on: March 03, 2010, 06:22:04 pm »
Until the Point of Hushed Support is the second full-length offering from Greg Haines, born in England and now based in Berlin. Though it has been over three years since the release of his debut, Slumber Tides (Miasmah, 2006), the last few years have seen Haines traveling around the world and refining his craft, performing as a solo artist, improvising with other musicians, creating music for contemporary dance, and finally arriving at this new album, a beautifully contemplative forty-eight minute piece for string quintet, church organ, piano, percussion, and electronics...

Also we are in the process of designing a new web site that will be up and running in the next few weeks.
Along with the new look design we will also be introducing a second broadcast channel that will focus on experimental Folk music.
We have a test stream running at the moment for the new channel. You can listen to it from the links below.
This is only a test stream however so it may go down from time to time and it also only has about 1 gig of music on the server set at random play.
Much more music will be added to this stream before we go live.
