+1 thumbs up on the mk3 FW version.

I do notice that it has "multi-touch" technology. I'm not sure how far that goes... but I do see potential in using this with a beefed up version of touchOSC in order to create lemuresque interfaces at a much lower price point.This is what I was thinking, less a laptop replacement and more of a controller. lemur was the first thing that sprang to mind, not to mention monome or tenori-on-esque options. The price of the base model would make it an interesting possibilty for this purpose, that is, if an app is designed *and* approved by apple for this type of functionality.
the total itunes lockdown on this thing is a turnoff for sure, though.
It bothered me really bad for quite a while. Turned out, power supply/transformer for the computer screen was the cause.
for anything computer related... I always wait until it's not new anymore... as new always means bugs. I'll let the eager types smooth out the bumps before I get involved.
I'm always suspicious of a new OS as they usually seem to be bloated with more functionality, perhaps in anticipation of faster future hardware, but still annoying.
