ACOUSTIC ELECTRIC / Re: FX pedals
« on: December 01, 2011, 05:59:06 am »
hi!

just received-tested yesterday a "feedback loop pedal" and had tons of fun with connecting to other "numb" pedals (kinda of "no input pedal" sounds, but also interesting when connecting to my guitar-synths)

mine is like this:

anyone using these? (as I can see on some schematics their are not difficult to build)

best,

SYNTHESIZERS + SOUND-MAKING HARDWARE / Re: Waldorf Blofeld
« on: November 30, 2011, 12:38:39 pm »
thanks taylor

was curious about the little blofeld when waldorf released it years ago, and I thought it could replace my old xt (also for for saving space on the studio)...but finally I kept the orange one because its gritty and grainy sounding and extra knobs.

waldorf made unique & character machines on mid-late 90´s (I remember the Pulse-mania in a bunch of techno tunes)...and I think (imho) they were on specs far away from the "analog-modelling" competitors from then, like the early virus or nords models.

a question about the little blo´s:

any remarkable differences in sound between blofelds and the classic "orange" microwave xt?

I keep my mwxt and all can say about it has some of the weirdest modulation matrix/routing that I´ve seen on a "modern" digital synth. Love also the esoteric and unusual filters on it.

anyone has owned both to compare?

pug

I'm a DL4 user. I bought one when they first came out and loved it ever since. I just loved the tank like metal chassis.

If you'd like to clean up the sound of your DL4. Might I suggest checking this guy out:

I've sent a few pedals to him for modification and I'm happy as a pig in shiZ with what he has done. Well worth the price.

+1

Love this pedal...in fact was my first looper, and combined with my Jamman has been my main setup for a year..no computer involved.

Recently I discovered this expression pedal:
