Sorry for that strange topic. I want to share this moment of bliss:

What do you guys feel when you listen to Talk Talk's Laughing Stock album and New Grass starts playing? I mean.. I totally got lost. I would even go as far as saying that Laughing Stock might be the best album I've ever heard..

And New Grass is something that totally reliefs you.

What do you think?

good to hear. looking forward to listening to it. btw, do you know about those hydrophones if it's possible to just juse it with the H4n?

My weirdest field recording happening is always the same.. and it happens so often. going out for a day to record some stuff.. and I drove for a long time only to realize my portable device giving me the feedback: "no card" (mostly sundays when shops are closed)

a good idea! thanks for that. but for homeuse it should usually work without that big efforts. My routine is: Take the picture, "run" to the cupboard and put it in a drawer where it's safe and warm. (+/- 21° Celsius)
That is actually enough to get good results.
Oh, btw: there's no need to totally cover the photo, it's enough to just put it in a dark drawer.
But if that's not the case with you, there might be something wrong with your equipment...
