I'm a bit of a tinkerer and will often re-write, re-record or dismantle tracks until I'm completely happy with them so I think my favourite part of the process is when the track feels finished and I'm sure that's the state it will stay in.

Like this 3"CD of field recordings a lot. I think it was made in a cattle shed in shetland or something, if memory serves. Very bleak.
