start of a little project, commissioning a series of musicians to examine the boundaries between the electronic and the real world. the first release is from Benjamin Shaw, called "summer in the box room". slapped and strangled tape hiss and samples. each release will be available in a ltd edition of 50 handmade CDs and for download.

I'm excited, as from the first half dozen people invited to partake, I don't think there's like to be any crossover in execution.

SYNTHESIZERS + SOUND-MAKING HARDWARE / sequencer?

Had fun last night linking my Dark Energy up to an Analogue Systems modular, and a Future Retro 777 sequencer (https://www.future-retro.com/777overview.html). which got me thinking how nice it would be to have a friend for the DE.

any recommendations on sequencer hardware options? Ideally something compact rather than deluxe... showing a distinct lack of imagination, I am wondering about just keeping it in the family and thinking Dark Time, but stocks are limited due to demand at present, and wondering if there's something worth keeping an eye on ebay for...

slightly off my own topic, but the DE played very nicely with last night's friends - there looks to be an awful lot of flexibility in that little box...
