I'd go with A Static Place. Listened to both albums just yesterday. While A Static Place convinced me from the very beginning and has been a nice listen for the past few weeks, I still didn't make it past track 4 on Ravedeath, 1972. Rather tiring underwhelming.

I've had the same experience, I just figured my head was elsewhere at the time. Both occasions I've sat down to listen to Ravedeath, 1972, I've completely lost interest midway through.

I've liked A Static Place quite a bit, but the new Remain on Line I've liked even more.

Same here...i lost interest after track 5 but i really like to blame Ben Frost about that :P

now playing:

Sparklehorse + Fennesz .. which i finally found the vinyl edition in a small shop in Vienna.

Oh, and someone played his promo of belong's "common era" to me. That is pretty disappointing... fucking hell. Some people will love it but to me it lacks the depth of "october language" which is one of the best records ever.

I have seen these guys around, going everywhere with their (really expensive) bicycles and let me tell you that Athens is a non-friendly city for bikes; cars everywhere even on the pavements!

yep. there are I guess like 30 bikestores in berlin by now selling "fixie" bikes...

now playing: the verlaines - juvenilia

there is nothing wrong with a fixie...

Yeah, I was thinking the kind of rockstars who actually write and perform their own music. The Stings and Bonos and Bowies are endangered...

nothing wrong with bonos being endangered...

Been catching up with Lost (just started season 5) via Netflix.

Pelican -  What We All Come To Need

Catching up on Lost can become quite obsessive!

Currently: Autechre, Amber

lost is like crack, tv-crack that is. you know it is bad but you still want more.

right now: wyndel hunt - sunshine noir
